TEEYAKA respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we may handle when you browse our store, contact us, create an account, subscribe to updates or place an order, why we use it, and how you can make a privacy request.

Who to contact

For privacy requests or complaints, contact the TEEYAKA Privacy Contact at ashraju6@gmail.com. You may also use our Contact page. Please use the email subject “Privacy Request” and include enough information for us to identify your request. Do not email payment passwords, PINs or one-time passwords.

Information we handle

Depending on how you use the store, we may handle:

  • Contact and account details, such as your name, email address, phone number and account information;
  • Order information, including items purchased, delivery and billing address, order status, payment status and transaction references;
  • Information you provide in a contact, support, return or other message, including attachments you choose to send;
  • Technical and usage information made available through the Shopify storefront, such as device and browser details, IP address, pages viewed and interactions with the store; and
  • Email marketing preferences if you choose to subscribe or otherwise opt in.

Payment transactions are handled by the payment provider selected at checkout. TEEYAKA does not ask you to send card security codes, payment passwords, PINs or one-time passwords to us.

Why we use it

We use personal information as needed to operate the store and provide the services you request, including to:

  • take and fulfil orders, arrange payment and delivery, and provide order updates;
  • manage accounts, respond to questions, and handle returns, refunds or other order issues;
  • protect the store, verify transactions and help detect fraud or misuse;
  • maintain and improve the storefront and its performance;
  • meet legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations; and
  • send promotional messages only where you have chosen to receive them. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact us.

When information is shared

We share only information needed for the relevant task with Shopify and service providers that help us operate the store, process payments, deliver orders, provide customer support, or perform store functions enabled by us. We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect our customers, store or legal rights. Service providers may process information under their own privacy terms. Some providers may process information outside India, subject to applicable requirements.

Cookies and store technology

Shopify and storefront technologies may use cookies or similar tools to keep the store working, remember cart or session information, protect transactions, and support analytics or marketing features where enabled. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect cart or checkout functions. Any available store privacy choices can also be used to manage optional tracking.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including to complete orders, provide support, resolve disputes, maintain security and satisfy legal, tax and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we will delete it or take steps to remove identifying details, unless the law requires or permits us to keep it longer.

Your privacy choices and requests

Subject to applicable law and information we must retain, you may contact us to:

  • ask for information about the personal data we process and how it is used;
  • request correction, completion or updating of inaccurate information;
  • request erasure of information that no longer needs to be kept;
  • withdraw consent where we rely on your consent, including for optional marketing; or
  • raise a grievance about how your personal information is handled.

You may also nominate another person to exercise rights on your behalf where applicable law permits. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal or processing that is otherwise permitted or required by law. Some information may need to be retained to complete an order or meet legal obligations.

Children

Our store is intended for customers who can make purchases under applicable law. We do not knowingly seek personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review it.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our store, services or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with its updated date.
